From the North -A1 South to A168 towards Thirsk and then the A170 Thirsk to Scarborough. Or A19 South to Teesside and from there the A171 to Scarborough.

Scarborough is served by the First Transpennine route,bringing trains direct from Liverpool, Manchester, Blackpool, Leeds, Huddersfield, York. National Express runs the East Coast Mainline services from London, Newcastle and Edinburgh to York where you can take a Transpennine Express train direct to Scarborough.

Northern Rail also operate a service to Scarborough from Hull and Bridlington.

The nearest Ferry Port is Hull (around 45 miles away) with P&O Ferries running nightly crossings from Bruges and Rotterdam.
