South Bay Scarborough Passes Bathing Water Quality Test

Scarborough's South Bay bathing water has been labelled as "Sufficient", with North Bay and Cayton Bay both being certified "Excellent".
For the last few years, South Bay has been rated "Poor" with bathers advised NOT to bathe in the sea there, so this is good news for Scarborough and for those who've been working hard to improve the bathing water in South Bay.
Nearby, Filey has been rated "Good" and Reighton "Excellent", whilst Robin Hood's Bay is "Good" and Whitby "Excellent".
The revised Bathing Water Directive came into force in 2015.
