Tom Grennan is heading to the Yorkshire coast this summer for a massive headline show at Scarborough Open Air Theatre.
The chart-topping BRIT and Ivor Novello-nominated star will play the famed 8,000-capacity outdoor arena on Friday July 7.
2023 sees Tom stepping into an exhilarating creative chapter with the eagerly-awaited release of new studio album – What Ifs & Maybes – his first headline UK arena tour, and now an unmissable night on the Yorkshire coast.
Tom said: “It’s going to be an amazing night in Scarborough. It’s a stunning venue – so let’s fill it and have a night to remember! Yorkshire crowds absolutely love a party, and the shows I’ve played there have been so special. I’ve no doubt this show is going to be something else!”
2022 was a defining year for Tom with four UK Top 10 singles. Two of his platinum-selling anthems Little Bit Of Love and By Your Side scored in the Top Three most played songs of the year – both taken from his breakthrough UK #1 album Evering Road.
New album What Ifs & Maybes is released on June 9.
Speaking about the new album, Tom said: “It’s is all about going with your gut, not your head, because you never know what's going to happen. I'm not afraid to jump into the unknown – because it's exciting! It's about rolling the dice and living your best life with nothing to lose. I'm in a new creative space, and I know I'm finally the artist I want to be. I'm so buzzing for these 2023 shows – my biggest gigs to date. I can't wait to get out and play these new songs to everyone. Let's go!"
Tom first came to public attention as a guest vocalist on electronic duo Chase & Status' 2016 track When It All Goes Wrong. He then delivered a trio of EPs – Release The Brakes, Something In The Water and Found What I've Been Looking For – which catapulted him into the nation’s consciousness.
Tom’s brilliant live shows – which have included a sold-out headline tour of North America and two of Australia, Isle Of Wight Festival mainstage, a homecoming headline show to 15,000 fans at Bedford Park – have only helped cement his status as one of the UK’s must-see talents.
His headline show at Scarborough OAT is presented by Metropolis Music and Cuffe and Taylor.
Scarborough OAT Venue programmer Peter Taylor said: “Tom Grennan is quite simply the man of the moment and a truly special talent. He has a new album set to land in June and he is about to embark on his biggest ever series of headline shows. We are delighted to be able to bring Tom here to Scarborough and this special venue for what will be an incredible night on the Yorkshire coast.”
Tom Grennan joins music legends Sting, Blondie, Pulp, rock supergroup Hollywood Vampires, chart-toppers N-Dubz, Olly Murs, Rag’n’Bone Man, Pete Tong and The Essential Orchestra Ibiza Classics and the International Tour of MAMMA MIA! among Scarborough Open Air Theatre’s 2023 headliners – with more acts still to be announced.
